’s-Hertogenbosch – BCS HR Software is taking an important step in its international growth ambitions with the acquisition of Danish Timegrip, a leading provider of workforce management software. With this strategic acquisition, BCS strengthens its position as an international player in HR software solutions and further expands its presence across Europe. The acquisition of Timegrip marks the ninth add-on acquisition since Main Capital Partners invested in BCS in April 2022.
For almost 50 years, BCS HR Software has supported organisations with software solutions for every step of the employee journey. These specialised solutions are powerful on their own and together form one strong software suite, enabling organisations to centrally organise, connect and scale their entire HR landscape. BCS serves more than 3,600 customers across Europe, including Philips, Argenta, Heineken, Schiphol Group, DSM Firmenich and Ardo Foods. With the acquisition of Timegrip, BCS enriches its product portfolio not only with a workforce management solution, but also with Software4You, a leading platform for workforce planning and HR controlling. The platform enables organisations to plan, analyse and optimise workforce costs, headcount, staffing levels and strategic workforce requirements within a single system.
Founded in 1995 and with offices in Denmark, Norway, and Germany, Timegrip provides a powerful workforce management solution for workforce planning, time tracking and operational processes. The software helps organisations automate scheduling, accurately track working hours and ensure compliance with labour regulations. In addition, Timegrip offers functionalities such as rotating schedules, digital punch clocks, payroll exports and advanced analytics. Software4You, part of Timegrip, provides software solutions in the field of HR controlling and workforce cost planning. More than 1,100 organisations (including customers such as JYSK, IKEA, Aldi, Panasonic, and L’Oréal Paris) across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom rely on the software on a daily basis.
The acquisition of Timegrip aligns seamlessly with BCS’ long-term strategy and international ambitions. Joep Eijkens, CEO of BCS, comments: “With the addition of Timegrip, we are taking an important step towards our ambition of becoming a leading European HR tech player. Timegrip’s solutions are a strong complement to our existing software suite and further strengthen our ability to support customers throughout the entire employee journey. Together, we are creating a broader and more integrated software suite, while significantly strengthening our presence across the Benelux, Nordics and DACH region.”
Rex Clausager, CEO of Timegrip, adds: “We are excited to join BCS and become part of a larger European software platform. The strong strategic fit between our organisations, combined with our complementary solutions and presence across multiple European markets, provides an excellent foundation for future growth. We look forward to combining our strengths and supporting organisations across Europe with innovative software solutions that deliver real value.”
Both BCS and Timegrip are part of the portfolio of Main Capital Partners, a leading software investor in Europe and North America. This shared foundation provides a strong basis to further accelerate collaboration and realise joint growth ambitions.
Charly Zwemstra, CEO at Main Capital Partners and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BCS comments: “The combination of BCS and Timegrip represents an important milestone in the development of a leading European HR and payroll software group. The two organisations are highly complementary, bringing together strong product capabilities, a broad customer base and a solid presence across the Benelux, Nordics and DACH region. We have long believed that strategic business combinations are among the most effective ways to build stronger software groups and drive sustainable growth.
